周红博士 （笔名紫悦 ）文革初期出生，少年时期曾喜欢文学，历史和绘画。国内电气工程本科和研究生毕业，优秀毕业生。毕业后留校任教数年，后获得澳大利亚海外研究生奖学金，来澳洲攻读计算机通讯博士学位。毕业后曾在澳大利亚和新加坡从事科研和教学工作近二十年。自几年前辞去大学职务以来，重拾旧爱，开始从事诗歌，古诗词翻译等文学创作。现居布里斯班。昆士兰华人作家协会会员。
Dr. Hong Zhou (Pen Name Purple Moon), born at the beginning of the Cultural Revolution in China, where she received Bachelor and Master degrees, both in Electrical Engineering with excellent graduate awards. After lecturing for several years, she came to Australia to pursue her PhD with the support of OPRS scholarships. After graduation, she had been working as a post-doctoral research fellow, senior engineer, and senior lecturer in Australia and Singapore for nearly 20 years. In recent years, she has been enjoying her time on poetry writing and translations. She is a member of Queensland Chinese Writers Association.
