Prof. Yu and Her Invention<\/strong><\/p>\n

For two months, Prof. Yu had been different. First, her daughter married and moved out to live with her son in law at a magnificent apartment. Then, someone said, \u2018She spends a lot of time looking out her window!\u2019<\/p>\n

It was late on Friday afternoon; she went shopping, and brought back many foods and herbs, carrying them into her study room with door closed.<\/p>\n

There were interesting smells raised from the study room. Then, she went back and forth between the kitchen and the room until few hours later. She took out some sticky stuff from the steam cooker, looking at the \u2018food\u2019 carefully. She tried some with frown, and finished it.<\/p>\n

\u2018What the heck are you cooking?\u2019 Her husband complained, \u2018it smells sour!\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018You never know it,\u2019 she replied with a smile.<\/p>\n

\u2018How can I sleep tonight in such a corrosive air! You might have been crazy!\u2019 He said again shaking his head.<\/p>\n

After dinner, her husband went to another bedroom without watching TV and saying anything. It was strange. Normally he would watch some soapy programs before going to bed. Obviously, he was still not happy about the funny odors.<\/p>\n

Prof. Yu called her old schoolmate who was a hi-tech researcher living in California. \u2018Good evening, or no, it should be good morning there to you! It\u2019s me, Prof. Yu from China.\u2019 \u2018Good evening, good morning, anyway, Ha-ha!\u2019 Dr. Michael Shuh replied, \u2018how can I help you?\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018I found something interesting, maybe you would like to cooperate with me.\u2019 Prof. Yu said.<\/p>\n

\u2018In what aspect?\u2019 Michael asked.<\/p>\n

\u2018I found something interesting. You may help me to lodge an application for patent in USA. We can jointly own it.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018No problem. Send me an email,\u2019 Michael responsed.<\/p>\n

\u2018In fact, I need to see the result later,\u2019 Prof. Yu said thoughtfully.<\/p>\n

\u2018Any time. Good night!\u2019 \u2018Good night!\u2019<\/p>\n

The following morning, Prof. Yu was on the way to the toilet. Her husband was shocked, \u2018who are you?\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018What?\u2019 She asked and went to the toilet, looking at the mirror, and she cried.<\/p>\n

\u2018How could I become so young?\u2019 She found that she was almost as young as her newly wedded daughter! \u2018It was my invention!\u2019 She was about to shout but controlled herself in a low voice.<\/p>\n

Her husband recognized her voice and rushed in, \u2018goodness, was it the stuff you ate make you young?\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018I think it was,\u2019 she replied, \u2018I am going to send an email to Michael later.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018What?\u2019<\/p>\n
